Colorblind
I have been told that I am colorblind, a defect which no one can “rectify.” There black, there’s white and when I cross that line – I’m called a nigger-lover who should die. I hear it said that white folks are supreme. All jokes aside, I do not see the light. The days of slavery are but a dream and no amount of hate can make them right. I have been called a traitor to my race. I do not care, I live my life for me. I am not swayed by colors on a face – I choose my friends by their humanity. And by the content of the heart within. I will not judge by color of the skin.
