Amanda
Sington-Williams writes
novels, short fiction and poetry. Many of her short stories have
been both published and selected for readings. Her poetry has also
been picked for readings on BBC radio. Amanda likes to write about
characters who are outsiders and have difficulty in conforming to
the norm.She
uses locations from the exotic to the everyday, from colonial
Malaysia, to a contemporary town suburb in southern England. Her
stories reflect historical and political events through which she
weaves a narrative.
Amanda has an MA in Creative Writing and Authorship from Sussex
University and won an award from the Royal Literary Fund for ‘The
Eloquence of Desire’. She teaches novel writing in Brighton.
